Moving the Letterbox
This strategy is an innovative method of adding value. What it involves is purchasing a house on a corner property on two roads, one viewed as good, the other bad with the letterbox on the bad road. Because the address is on a bad road the price of the property will be depressed. Once the property is owned an application is made to the local council to move the address of the property to the good road. At this point the property is put back on the market, now being a building on good road, it hopefully sells at a higher price.
